STORM CHASING TOURS EXPERIENCE
CREDIT CARD PAYMENT DETAILS: We are very pleased to offer our participants the convenience of paying their tour deposit and tour balance with a credit card. We have many different options to pay, however, PayPal is the preferred method for most folks who sign up for one of our Storm Chasing Tours. The transaction is totally secure and very fast and very easy! Upon receipt of your completed tour deposit and or final tour payment, we will send you via e-mail an electronic receipt for your records.
TOUR LODGING: During the storm chasing tour you are responsible for each night's lodging. Our tour guides will choose a clean, comfortable hotel to stay at. Our lodging of choice includes Comfort Inns and Suites, Sleep Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Quality Inn & Suites, Red Roof Inn, Fairfield Inn, Hampton Inn, Hilton, Wingate, Country Inn and Suites, Baymont Inn and Candlewood Suites etc.. We always do our best to ensure a high caliber of lodging on your tour. However, in some locations throughout tornado alley, we may be required to stay at smaller chains of hotels that are not nationally noted or recognized hotels. Think of this as part of the storm chasing adventure. These types of hotels may be like "Mom and Pop" style hotels that have a piece of real Americana.
WHAT TO BRING WITH YOU: You should plan on bringing a small sized suitcase (like a carry on for airline travel) or duffel type bag for travel that will accommodate your gear. Make your best attempt at packing lightly.
EDUCATION: The entire Extreme Chase Tours Team works very, very hard to give you a meaningful education while on your Storm Chasing Vacations. You will have an opportunity to really spend one on one time with us and learn from us in a unique way. You will learn about the formation, structure and dynamics of severe thunderstorms, tornadoes and other interesting weather phenomena in terms that only Lanny and the Extreme Chase Tours team can teach you in a way that you can really understand. You will be able to watch your tour guides actually prepare the morning forecast on many days. You will be shown our systematic approach to severe weather forecasting. You will enjoy the advantage of gaining insight while you are watching the atmosphere in motion. We feel strongly that if you come to our tours with a genuine interest in increasing your understanding of the atmosphere, you will walk away feeling like you have really learned something! We pledge to work tirelessly at increasing your knowledge about severe thunderstorms, storm chasing, forecasting and weather. We will answer all of your questions to the best of our ability.

TOUR EXPERIENCE
Our Storm Chasing Vacations and Tornado Tours packages includes daily hotel lodging during each of your scheduled evenings with us excluding your arrival evening and the last chase date evening, an Extreme Chase Tours T-Shirt and lifetime discounts on all future tours!
THE VEHICLES: We conduct the tours in our own customized passenger vehicles, each outfitted with technology like radar and data to get the best weather of the day. All ECT passenger vehicles have been customized for maximum enjoyment of the storm chasing tour experience just for you!
We are the only tour company that has true mobile Doppler radar and additional equipment and technology required to stay connected to the internet so we can access weather data while on the road; we also carry commercial radios to permit the individual vehicles to remain in constant contact while on the road.
COST AND PAYMENT DETAILS: Please see the TOUR SCHEDULE for a complete listing of tour costs. We require a non-refundable deposit of $700 for the 6 and 8-day tours and $700 for all other storm chasing tours excluding media tours which is a $1,000 deposit. You can pay your deposit via credit card, cashier’s check, cash or money order. The balance of the tour fee is due on or before Jan 1, of the current of your tour. unless otherwise noted. after Jan 1, 2022, the total balance is required within 10 business days after when reserving your seats. Please note that there is a discount offered if you choose to pay your tour by cash, cashier’s check or money order.
We have private channel commercial radios for van-to-van communications, numerous power outlets for charging your equipment and some really cool storm chasing equipment like our radar!
TOUR MEETING LOCATIONS: All tours will meet/depart from Tulsa, Oklahoma. Additional details will be emailed to you prior to the start of your tour. This information always includes details such as: suggested packing list, typical tour daily itinerary (if possible) and arrival day logistics. We also have a FAQ page which will help to answer additional questions you might have ABOUT our storm chasing tours.
WHEN TO ARRIVE AND DEPART: Each tour is bracketed by so-called “arrival” and "last chase” days. These dates are established for the purpose of allowing tour guests sufficient time to travel to and from the base city. For each of the dates listed within the TOUR SCHEDULE page you must arrange to travel to the base city on your tour’s designated arrival day. Departure days are your responsibility but since we can sometimes get in late on the last chase day, most guests depart the morning following the last chase date.
