In 1999 owner and 30 year storm chase veteran, Lanny Dean had a dream, he wanted to share his knowledge and love of tornadoes with the general public by offering private, affordable storm chasing tours and tornado tours in tornado alley. Later that year, Lanny opened the doors to Extreme Chase Tours. Since that time, Extreme Chase Tours has kept our commitment to continue giving the highest quality, most personal storm chasing vacations in the industry. We are a smaller storm chasing tour company that believes that quality should exceed quantity. We won't load up a big 15 seat passenger van like many other tour companies do, leaving little to no interaction with the tour guide or driver. You've paid hard earned money to be able to enjoy your tour - and that means being able to ask questions, talk to, and interact with the tour guide!

Many folks talk about "being first" - We were the first personal storm chasing tour company to offer more intimate and personal tornado chasing tours starting in 1999 and owner, Lanny Dean, was the first storm chaser to receive the prestigious Storm Chaser Of The Year Award voted by iPixcel in 2005 and in 2007! Extreme Chase Tours was also the first storm chasing company to offer severe weather PHOTOGRAPHY TOURS and we were the first tour company to receive Best Of Tulsa's Small Business Award in Tours Category in 2012 and in 2013! While we are very proud of these accomplishments, we know that we wouldn't be where we are at today without the support of all of our storm chasing tour guests.
